Audrynn's Mermaid Sleepover

Audrynn is 11 years old!!! She is the funniest little girl you will ever meet and her laugh is very contagious!! I was over the moon thrilled when she asked me if I would host her birthday party... we are in the middle of moving and our house is bare and empty, but I just couldn't say no. Heck, I have a hard time saying no to my nieces.

The girls started to arrive and they were SO giddy and LOUD. I think they actually got louder the later the evening went on. I decided that before they got the party started, we would take a group photo. Arent they so cute and innocent looking? Oh to be 11 years old again.

We started the night off with some birthday cake, hello its my favorite part of a birthday party! Then we went straight into the games. Audy wanted to play Minute To Win It games... first up, you pick a partner, put shaving cream on your head and then your partner has 1 minute to throw Cheetos on your head. It was a BLAST and very very messy.

They really got in to the game and actually ended up doing way better than I thought they would. Oh and this morning I was still finding Cheetos in my kitchen!!

If you have never played this game, I suggest you add it to your bucket list! The girls LOVED it. Oh and I need to add shaving cream to my grocery list this next week. Sorry Casey!

They decided to go outside and throw shaving cream at each other and I added fuel to the fire by handing them each a can of silly string. My back yard was MESSY. They didn't think it was as much fun this morning when I made them clean it up this morning.

They decided to take showers and used every single one of my towels. I mean, EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM! Girls crack me up. My boys can use a washcloth to dry off... they each needed 2 towels. Haha!

Then Aunt Jay needed some quiet time so I sat them down and let them decorate treasure chest (to go with the mermaid theme). I bought paint, washi tape, each of them had a rhinestone letter for their names, and we had pearls and other gemstone stickers. They all turned out so cute! They also all wrote letters to Audy and put them in a glass bottle... get it, a message in a bottle!

It was time for the next game... bobbing for donuts! This one was SO SO SO funny!!! There is a video on my Instagram page (username: Jordashflowers).

The last Minute To Win It game we played was where they had to blow up balloons and use the air in the balloons to knock of their cups. It was a quick game so I think they played a few times... I ended up going in my bedroom for a break at this point. Ha!

Finally after a LOT of laughter and LOUD conversations... and a few prank calls (sorry mom), they FINALLY fell asleep. I passed out at midnight (I usually go to bed by 9 pm) so I have no clue what time they stayed up to.

I wont lie, Sunday morning I was really excited to get in my kitchen at 7:30 am banging my pots and pans cooking my breakfast... I enjoyed every minute of the LOUDNESS I was creating. Sorry girls...

All in all it was a GREAT birthday. It did make me very happy I have boys. I am sure that will change when they are 11 and wanting to have a sleepover... but for now, I am thankful.

I love you Audrynn!!! Thanks for letting me host your party!!!

Sunday Funday

This weekend we celebrated my niece, Audrynn, turning 11!! I have hosted her older sister, Madalynn's birthday parties the past 2 years and Audy wanted a turn this year. I asked her if we could do a mermaid theme and she was on board... I will blog more about her party later this week!

Happy Birthday Little Miss Sassy Frass!

Also this weekend, I received Caleb's new Usborne books!!! My dear dear dear friend, Lisa, has started selling these books and I am hooked. Caleb is struggling to read and write so she suggested these books for him. He has been playing with them all afternoon. I also bought some books earlier this year from her for Dax... he loves to chew on them, I mean read them!! If you are interested in some AWESOME books check out her page HERE or HERE!!

Saturday night I went to bed overwhelmed and my eyes were filled with tears. I have been so stressed out lately and everything seems to be piling on my plate. I told a friend the other day that I need someone to clean my plate off or give me a second plate because the one I have now is full and I cant handle it anymore. I have been frantically working on our house, moving, being Momma, being a wife, being Fit by Jordan, being a friend, being a good (part time) employee... it just started to get to me. I think the thing that really broke me was realizing I forgot 2 dates with 2 of my dearest friends. We had plans and I am usually really good at remembering this stuff and I just forgot!! I know I am human but it really bugged me and I felt awful for it.

I decided I just needed a break from life. We had plans to work on the house before Casey left for work this afternoon and at breakfast I told him I needed a day to not deal with life. He offered to give me a day to myself but I really just wanted to spend the day with my boys not giving a damn about anything. We decided to go have lunch and play at the park. We tried out a local Mexican restaurant that I have had my eye on and I ate my weight in chips and blanco queso. And not one single damn was given...

This was just what the doctor ordered... Tex-Mex always makes everything better... ALWAYS!!!

Due to Casey's schedule and everything we have going on, he never makes it to the park with us. He was excited to be able to push Dax on the swing for the first time. Dax LOVES the swing!

If you are ever in the Fort Worth area you need to check out Adventure World park in NRH. We love it there and even heard that in a few weeks they will be adding shade pavilions!!!

Having Casey there meant that I was able to actually play and enjoy the park. Having an extra set of eyes and hands to help out is such a stress reducer. I swung with Caleb, played on the slide with Dax and even kissed this handsome man over by the monkey bars!!

To end the day, I decided to take the boys with me to find a dress to wear to dinner on Tuesday night. Casey and I will be celebrating our 2 year wedding anniversary!! He took vacation from work (which is VERY rare for him to do), set up a sitter and booked us dinner reservations at the Reunion Tower in Dallas! Then on March 16th we will be heading to VEGAS to continue the celebration. We have been together for 4 years and Tuesday we will have been married 2 years... best years of my life for sure!! I plan on writing blog to Casey on Tuesday, so stay tuned!! I don't talk much about the details of our relationship because it is private and between Casey and myself, but each year I love to look back over the past 12 months and make notes of the downs and the ups to show us how far we have come and how much stronger we are now.

I hope you all had a great Sunday Funday, I know I did. I cant wait to get back on track tomorrow and start LiveFit at 5am!!!

Fit Fun Friday!!!

Happy Fit Fun Friday everyone!!!

Today was my last workout on the Kelsey Byers 4 Days of Fitness Challenge. Tomorrow I will be taking measurements and progress photos to submit to Kelsey. I did an comparison photo of my shoulder and bicep and WOW! I am so proud of myself. I am starting to lean out and it is amazing.

So where do I go from here?

Monday I am starting LiveFit by Jamie Eason. It is a 12 week program that will get me to a month before Dax's 1st birthday (my goal to wear a bikini in public). I have done the program once before and had some amazing results so I am excited to see my results this time around.

This weekend will be spent working more on the house. We are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel... finally! We have some touch ups in almost every room and then we still need to work on our master bedroom and bathroom. Here is a sneak peak to our bathroom... it will be black white and gold! Totally girly and glamorous! My husband is such a great sport!

Journey to 199.9!!!

Friday was my sister in law's 30th birthday so we went out to see a movie (How to be Single) at a local movie tavern. It is always hard eating out, but I looked at the menu before we left and decided to get a side salad with grilled chicken and no dressing. It came out and I had to ask if chicken was even on it because there was hardly ANY... hello I want protein! Sarah wanted cheese sticks but said she was only going to order if I will eat one. So I caved and ate ONE. Peer pressure at its finest... #ILoveCheese

Saturday morning was filled with a hardcore cardio workout. I love starting my day with a workout so I changed up the workouts plan to the challenge I am doing so it would fit my life a little bit better. Anyone who hasn't tried Alpha Amino Extreme... oh my gosh you should! I love Watermelon flavor but decided to try Fruit Punch this time, it is okay but I am going back to Watermelon after this months supply is over.  When I drink this it really helps me not crave diet cokes so much AND it helps with muscle soreness!!

Saturday afternoon was spent with my niece, Audy! She turns 11 this Saturday and I have the honor of hosting her sleepover at my house... it will be a mermaid theme (EEK I am so EXCITED). We needed to shop for decorations and food, so we hit up some stores while Uncle Casey went to work. Plus she is Dax's 2nd mom, so she entertained him while I cleaned my house and vegged out. I seriously love when she comes over!!

Sunday morning I woke up and weighed myself (because I am addicted, sue me) and I was 200.8!!! That is LESS than 1 pound until I am in ONDERLAND!!! My goal for the challenge I am doing is 199.8 by 2/28... I think I can I think I can!!!

Sunday morning we went to the new house and I conquered my fear of heights. We forgot to grab our ladder from the rent house so I could paint above the kitchen cabinets, so I improvised and climbed up on the counters. I had to hunch over (maybe that is why my neck is sore today) but I got the job done!! This house is ALMOST done!!! About 20 more days until we move, time to really buckle down. We have some minor touch ups here and there in the living room and kitchen and then we need to tackle our bedroom and bathroom (YUCK)!

Also, the cutest thing happened Sunday night... Dax made a new friend! Haha! Maybe I should sign him up for a baby class or play date or something. He stays home with Case in the mornings while I work and then when Case goes to work, he stays with me. He is never around other babies. Poor guy, he loved this baby though!!

Hope you guys had a GREAT weekend! I am ready to kick 199.9's butt this week... I will keep you posted!!!

6 Months Anniversary!!!

WOW!!! The last 6 months have flown by. I am so proud of myself for getting back on track and starting over when I did. I always said that when Dax turns one I would be rocking a bikini at his birthday party... now that is possible because I started when I did!!!

I had my fair share of ups and downs the past 6 months. I had days I wanted to quit and days I felt like a total rock star. Moments of weakness and moments of strength. People rooting for me and people rooting against me. This journey, like the other journeys I have taken, has been such a roller coaster and I wouldn't have it any other way.

The down times is when you find out just how tough you are. If you are going to continue to fight for your goals and dreams or if you are going to give up!

The up times help shape you into the person you are going to be when you reach your goals. Are you humble, do you help others, are you inspiring those around you?

I wanted to say thank you to each of you who read my blog, who follow my fitness page, who like my pictures on IG. You all keep me going. Thank you for allowing me to share my journey, all 6 years of it... and these last 6 months that I re-started. Thank you!

Thank you!!! I love you all... truly!!!

The Mom Belly

My name is Jordan and I have a mom belly!

Actually, I had it before I even had kids. Haha!

Now that I have had kids, I call it my kangaroo pouch. Even when I was at my lowest weight of 160 (remind you I am 5'10, so 160 is thin for me) I still had the pouch. It was basically just a bag of skin hanging down south. I could have fit into smaller jeans but the pouch stopped me. I could have gotten my wedding gown a bit smaller but the pouch stopped me. I have always hated my pouch.

Don't get me wrong. I am proud of my body for carrying 2 babies full term and 1 baby 3 months, but just because I am proud of my body for achieving those things, doesn't mean I have to be proud of my pouch. To those of you who are, I am very happy for you... but for me, I want it gone.

I have spoken about having a mommy makeover one day and about getting my pouch cut off... and you better believe I am going to do it. Am I doing it because of what other people think of me? Am I doing it because my husband doesn't love my body? HELL NO to both. I honest can careless what other people think of me and my husband loves me no matter what my size is.

I am doing it because I freaking want to! I want it gone! I have worked this hard to lose the weight a third time now and I am ready to get that extra skin pouch off my body.

Here is what it looks like now. I am currently at 202 pounds and in size 12/14 jeans. I plan on visiting the doctor and having a consultation sometime this summer when I get closer to my goal of 160 again. I cant wait to keep you guys posted on everything... Eek, this girl is ready to get this extra weight off so I can get this extra loose skin off and tightened up!!!

Weighing Daily

I am a daily weigher, sue me!

This morning I weighed in at 206.6! I ended my (STUPID) period yesterday and then this morning was down 1.4 pounds. Take that you stupid period!

I got to thinking. When I first set out to lose this baby weight, my first goal was to break 200 and then to hit 180. I really didn't put much thought into goals after that. I didn't want to get overwhelmed and cause myself to want to throw in the towel. When you are sitting at 278, 180 can be a daunting task. I tried not to think about it and just think about 10 pounds at a time. It worked for me. Well now here I am 206.6, within the 10 pounds of hitting my goal of being out of the 200's and less than 30#'s away from hitting 180's!!! Its is becoming real and exciting for me. I have even started thinking about my next goals... hitting 160 (wedding weight) again... and my ultimate goal of 140's!!!

Back to being a daily weigher. I know its not ideal and it can derail your weight loss when you see a gain, maintain or even a loss that isn't as great as you think it should be. You get frustrated and want to throw in the towel. I totally get that. But for me, those things drive me to go harder and stick with my meal plans. If I see a gain, I want to be more badass than I have been being. If I see a maintain, I want to lift heavier and do more HIIT. When I see a loss that isn't as great as I want it to be, I am even more focused to stay on track and not stray for the path. So while people say to stay off the scale, for me it is totally different.

Also, I understand that muscle looks better than fat. You can weigh 140 and have little muscle and weight 140 and have little fat... and your weight never changed. I get that. BUT for someone who has over 100 pounds to lose, until I get closer to my goal... that doesn't really apply to me so much. I still have close to 50 pounds to drop before this applies to me, I believe. Yes I am building muscle and I am toning up, but I still have a lot of fat to lose.

Not that I have to justify me weighing daily to anyone, I just had a lot of thoughts in my head and wanted to get them out.

I guess my message today is... you do YOU! I am going to do ME and be happy with it.

I hope you all have a WONDERFUL day today!

Another week to plan meals

I just noticed that I haven't blogged since last week... oops! Life has been hectic busy and crazy and has just gotten away from me. Hopefully this next week will be better.

Lets have some girl talk for a second.

I have birth control in my arm called Nexplanon. I had it in my arm between having Caleb and getting pregnant with our miscarriage, so about 5-6 years. I didn't have any issues with it and so I decided to get it again. Well, this time around my periods have been all over the place. I hope they regulate themselves soon because it is super annoying. I had a period about 2-3 weeks ago and it was spotty for 2-3 days and went away. Then last week I started again and it was FULL BLOWN. It has been 7 days now and I am just now thinking it is going to stop hopefully today. Aren't periods fun?!

I have been carrying a lot of water weight this past week due to my period and only lost 0.4 pounds. Boo! I am hoping that this week will get back to normal now that the period is over. It is crazy that the closer and closer you get to your goal weight, the harder and harder it is to lose weight. Even though it is getting harder, doesn't mean I am going to give up.

Now to my meal plans for next week. I will grocery shop on either Friday or Saturday morning after working out and then prep my food on Saturday morning. I have adjusted my macros a little bit, I am trying to shock my body. I think every couple weeks you need to change it up (in the kitchen and the gym) so your body doesn't get use to what you are doing.

Also... If you don't like my meal plan, keep it to yourself. If you don't agree with some of my food choices, keep it to yourself. If you lose weight better when you stay away from lets say Quest Bars, keep it to yourself. This is MY meal plan and what works best for ME. I share this to help keep me accountable, to have a archive I can go back and look at, and for anyone who needs some guidance on what to eat. I am not a nutritionist but I do know what has helped me lose my weight... so any negative comments, keep them to yourself!
